AFF stats

I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to statistics, and how they are used and mis-used to manipulate peoples perceptions.

They bury the info on here, but if you go to Community, Blogs, Browse by Location, View all for this region, you will find the stats for Men seeking women. Go to the bottom and click More to find Women seeking men.

After all that digging, I discovered in my region there are:
11,448 Men seeking Women to
632 Women seeking Men.

But it gets worse guys...
When I clicked to see ALL Women seeking Men in my region, they could only show me 340 profiles, and only 52 had logged in withing the LAST 3 MONTHS!

Okay, I didn't do that kind of digging on the 11,448 guys, but if only 10% had logged in withing the last 3 months (comparable to the women) that's still 1,144 men to 52 women.

So, what do you think about those odds?

Had a friend living on the east coast for a while, said the stats were much more in his favor.
What's the ratio look like where you're from?

 As another stats nerd I love your application of them. No matter where we guys are that stats are never good for us.

From my own perspective, regardless of the stats, it seems that personal compatibility is inversely related to distance... All my best friends here are far away.

 It gets even worse. Half the women I interact with in here are actually fake profiles HotMatch.com sets up to flirt with me, send me an e-mail telling me to upgrade to gold, then disappear. That's one reason I like the blogs, they are all real.
