Routine...

Routine... I have a new after work routine. I'm almost always disgustingly sweaty when I walk through my door at night so I strip off most of my clothes. I wash my face, brush my teeth and then feed my fish in the kitchen. The fish tank sits on an old metal school desk across from my fridge and next to a table I built out of spare parts. I get a beer or pour a drink and sit on my kitchen floor with my back against the fridge and watch my fish eat. While they eat, I use my phone to check all my email stuff, I read a blog or two and just listen to the bubbles in the tank and the water fall inside. It's my decompression time. I have an empty place. The sound of the fridge with the windows open and the fish tank seems very calming for me. Not that I'm not often very calm...because I've been told I am but it's my point to let the work day wear off me. I'm looking at my fish. If you read my blog on the regular you know my oldest fish has gone to be with Moby, Jaws and that fucking delicious Talapia I had the other night. I got some more fish. I have a total of 5 now. 4 of which do not have names and I have decided to name them after my favorite bloggers. In no particular order. *Jane *Nicky(not that that's what I call her. The blogger not the fish) She knows who she is(again the blogger not the fish) *Lisa my very colorful fish and *E who I expect at some point in our blog life will tell me what other letters to add or not. The tank has plenty of room and I plan on adding more fish so my other favorite bloggers can be saluted as well. I'll keep you posted as to the new aqua residents. I share my decompression time with my fish named after peoples I learn stuff from. So...I don't think it's weird or creepy It's purely inspirational.  What a great tank! All my favorites...begging me...twice a day...every day...all I have to do is walk in the room and they all come simultaneously... and they all live together in perfect harmony...relying on me to nourish them as I see fit...
